There are a few token photos every bride wants on their wedding day, both at the wedding venue and other gorgeous Sydney locations, but here are some other playful memories you will want captured:
Getting Ready with Your Bridesmaids
Ask your photographer to capture those special moments as your bridesmaids help you put on your gown, or as you drink champagne together and get excited in the lead up to the big event.
The Scenery
You probably chose your wedding location for good reason. Have your photographer snap the scenery to remind of you of the special location.
The Rings
Don’t forget to snap the wedding rings before they find their way onto your fingers.
The Invitation
Bring a copy of your wedding invitation on the day so you never forget the first thing your guests saw.
Your Shoes
While your shoes sit discreetly beneath your gown, no doubt you spent ages picking the perfect pair. Get a fun shot of your shoes with your other accessories, poking out from underneath your dress.
Your Dress
Get a close up shot of the finer details and intricacies of your gown. To compose the shot, hang it somewhere up high and let it flow.
Decorations
No doubt you spent ages organising the perfect decorations to match your theme and colour scheme. Get a photo of your place cards, the reception room, the tables and centrepieces, and the wedding cake and food.
If you’re planning a wedding and would love to tie the knot at a waterfront venue in Sans Souci, the Waterfront Function Centre offers the perfect solution. For bookings and information call (02) 9529 7276.

When planning your next corporate function, impress your guests with an eco-friendly approach. Not only is ‘going green’ good for the environment, but it’s also a great way to market your social conscience and boost your reputation. Here are some great green ideas for your next function that might even save you extra money:
Before the event
Instead of sending paper invitations, why not send the invites by email? Alternatively, use an online invitation service such as evite.com. If you’re holding a small event, you may even like to call each guest to personally invite them.
On your invitation, make the RSVP date well ahead of the event and ask guests to RSVP on time. This will help you to avoid over-catering so you don’t end up throwing out unused food and party favours. When selecting your menu, include vegetarian or vegan options and always choose Fair Trade Certified varieties of coffee and chocolate. If you must have nametags and place cards, select recycled paper products.
During the Event
Use reusable products wherever possible. If you can’t rent cutlery and dishware, then at least choose plastic and paper products that are recycled or compostable. Choose material napkins and tablecloths over disposable versions. Likewise, opt for decorations that can be reused, or minimise decorations altogether. Remember to put a recycling bin next to the garbage to encourage recycling of any one-use materials.
When it comes to handouts, refer guests to your website for the information instead and use PowerPoint presentations to get your message across. You may even like to encourage guests to bring their own laptops to take notes.
After the Event
Send thank you notes via email and include a special mention of your ‘green’ efforts. Consider offsetting the impact of your event by donating money to a charitable organisation that helps the environment.

While some may view the signs of the zodiac as fanciful and hard to believe, there are others than strongly suggest using the stars alignment to dictate the date of their wedding day.
Libra (September 24-October 23)
Libra couples will blow you away with how amazing they look on their wedding day. They’re also very romantic, warm-hearted and classy, and value harmony in their relationship.
Scorpio (October 24-November 22)
While sex and passion run high, loyalty lies at the base of this courtship. Scorpio marriages can be intense at both ends of the extreme.
Sagittarius (November 23-December 21)
Expect excitement! Marrying under Sagittarius will guarantee you many fun times, adventures and stories to tell. Free spirits at heart, these couples aren’t bothered by what others think.
Capricorn (December 22-January 20)
Capricorn couples love money and work hard for it. They can become rich and successful in the long term, and love to invest in the interim. They’ll always be on their best behaviour in public and on their wedding day.
Aquarius (January 21-February 19)
People who marry under Aquarius were likely friends before lovers. They’re eccentric and value their friendships highly.
Pisces (February 20-March 20)
Pisces couples are infectiously romantic and probably declare each other ‘soul mates’. They can be sensitive and will often cry on their big day.

Still trying to decide when and where to get married? The date you choose to marry could make all the difference. Just like your birth date, some say your wedding date can dictate the nature of your marriage by the signs of the zodiac.
Aries (March 21-April 20)
Expect fireworks and passion! Couples who marry under Aries are courageous and determined, successful and popular. While they may be competitive with each other, any passionate fighting is quickly negated with passionate making up.
Taurus (April 21-May 21)
Taurus couples are usually together for a long time before they finally tie the knot. Solid marriages come easy for them. While they’re very money-conscious, they love to splurge on glorious wedding feasts in the name of good food.
Gemini (May 22-June 21)
So alike are Gemini couples that they’ll even finish each other’s sentences. They’re talkative, fun and flirty, and their relationship is never dull and boring. Other couples love to be entertained by a Gemini duo.
Cancer (June 22-July 22)
Couples who get married under Cancer have close bonds to their family and home. They love spending time at home and receiving home-oriented wedding gifts.
Leo (July 23-August 23)
Think romance and glamour. Leo couples love hard and dramatically, just as much as they love designer items. While some find them over the top, they’ll always be happy to play matchmaker for any single friends.
Virgo (August 23-September 23)
Virgo couples love to work, be healthy, and can be quite serious in nature. If their marriage was ever to hit the rocks, they’d be first in line to attend marriage counselling.

Team building outside of the office is a fantastic way to strengthen and develop your corporate team. Whether your business requires regular teamwork or not, there’s no doubt that success comes from a collective effort towards achieving a common goal. Here are just a few of the many benefits of team building exercises to think about for your next corporate event.
Some of the key benefits of team building include:
-
Improved team morale
-
Enhanced communication
-
Developed leadership skills
-
Breaking down of political and personal barriers
-
Building trust and cooperation
-
Greater creativity and problem solving abilities
-
Clearly defined objectives and goals
-
Improved processes and procedures
-
Heightened productivity levels
-
The ability to identify team strengths and weaknesses.
As well as the benefits for the team as a collective, there are many benefits for the individuals involved as well. Team building enables each person to focus on and apply their strongest skills while developing new skills in a supportive environment, such as those not required in their everyday duties at work. Furthermore, team building activities may reveal new talents in individuals that were previously unrealised.
The sense of accomplishment, renewed team energy and enriched dynamics that come out of team building will remain invaluable once your team returns to their desks. They’ll come back to the office reinvigorated, reconnected and reinspired.
